Travel into the Zagora dunes on a Sahara Desert tour from Marrakech that features an overnight at a desert camp. From riding a camel to a Sahara sunrise, you’ll get a classic desert experience, but the itinerary also makes the most of your time on the road with sightseeing stops that include the ancient city of Ait Benhaddou and Ouarzazate’s film studios.
We pick you up from your hotel in Marrakech at 7:15 o´clock in the morning, and depart to the High Atlas mountains going through Tizi N´Tichka pass with stops for panoramic views. On the way we will see many Berber villages.
We wake up early in the morning to watch the sunrise over the dunes. After breakfast we return back to Zagora on the camels and drive towards the Draa Valley. On the way, we make some stops to take pictures and enjoy the beautiful landscape of the valley that runs along the Draa River. This river is the longest in Morocco and flows through the whole country, reaching Mauritania to end in the Atlantic Ocean.
We will go through the Anti Atlas to reach Ourzazate, where we can visit Taourirt Kasbah, the cinema Studios and the Cinema Museum if you wish. We will then head back towards Marrakech with a stop at Tizi N´Tichka port and free time for lunch. After lunch, it will be about 2 hours before we reach Marrakech, where we drop you off at your hotel.
