Scenic drive to seasonal Boti Falls. 250 concrete steps to the bottom of the falls. Short 5-minute walk or optional 45-minute moderate forest hike to Umbrella Rock. Continue to the nearby Akaa Falls that empty into a canyon of water before returning to the Volta River.

Relaxed morning on the Volta River. Depart for Accra at a convenient time, visiting the Aburi Botanical Gardens and/or a carving craft market on the return. Spend time at lively Labadi Beach in Accra. Safe delivery to the airport 2 hours before your evening flight.
Water Lover's Tour of Ghana
Your Water Lovers experience begins in Accra, where your personal Experience Curator will meet your arriving flight at Kotoka International Airport. Depending on your arrival, there may be time for a neighbourhood or Accra city orientation. You are then whisked off in an air-conditioned vehicle to our first water destination of Kokrobite, a coastal resort town known for its white sandy beaches.

Day 1: Arrival, Accra Orientation, Kokrobite Beach
Meet your arriving flight and provide an orientation of Accra as time permits. Continue to the beach village of Kokrobite to enjoy your beautiful beach resort.

Day 2: Busua Beach, Fort Metal Cross
Coastal drive to Busua Beach, a wide beach that is one of Ghana’s most beautiful. Afternoon beach hike or bike to Fort Metal Cross in Dixcove. Enjoy the beach or pool. Surfing rentals and lessons are available.

Day 3: Nzulezu Stilt Village, Fort Apollonia, Beach Afternoon
Early depart for the beach village of Beyin, near the western border of Ghana. Canoe ride through the lush Amansuri wetlands to the unique stilt village of Nzulezu. Tour Fort Apollonia, the westernmost Colonial-era fort in Ghana. Enjoy the beach for the afternoon.

Day 4: Cape Coast Castle, Beach Afternoon
Mid-morning departure, driving along the coast to the historic town of Cape Coast. Tour the U.N. World Heritage Site and the former slave dungeon of Cape Coast Castle. Continue to your beach resort in Elmina for a relaxed beach afternoon.

Day 5: Kakum National Park, Culture Performance
Early morning departure for West Africa’s highest rain forest canopy walkway at Kakum National Park. Visit the crocodile ponds and weaver bird community at Hans Botel. Visit a stingless bee facility. Fishing lagoon and hilltop Ft. San Jago in Elmina.
In the evening, enjoy a special cultural performance of drumming and dance.

Day 6: Traditional Glass Beads, Volta River
Depart towards the Volta River, turning inland after reaching suburban Accra. Visit a glass bead workshop near the Volta River to watch this interesting handcraft. Enjoy your perfect resort on the Volta River. Motorboat ride to the Akosombo dam.
