Experience Overview
Your very own Ghanaian name will be bestowed upon you at a traditional naming ceremony. Â This is a ceremony to give babies a name and wishes for a long life at their outdooring after birth. Â Receive blessings from a spiritual leader at an authentic African shrine for ancestors and traditional gods. Â Your gift of gin, schnapps, cash, or a live chicken will be well received and blessings bestowed upon you for a safe journey.

Traditional Naming Ceremony and Blessing
Your unique spiritual experience begins in Accra with a pick-up at Kisseman Junction or a location of your choice. Â Travel with your guide to a compound of traditional African worship in suburban Accra. Â Libation will be poured and prayers said for you at a traditional shrine. Â This is followed by a naming ceremony as it is given to newborn babies in Ghana. Â This Outdooring includes an introduction of the “newborn,” Â water sprinkling, covering in white cloth, and the giving of wine and honey. Â You will be given your Ghanaian name.
Celebrate your rebirth at the compound with home-cooked lunch and beverages. Â Greeting of locals and drumming and dancing will last throughout the afternoon. Â Your day concludes with a drop-off in Ghana at a location of your choice.
