Experience Overview
Kente is the national cloth of Ghana and one of Ghana's indigenous handcrafts which has been recognized worldwide for its cultural and philosophical importance. On this half-day trip, you will visit the weavers and have a hands-on experience as a first time weaver as your instructor takes you through the learning and weaving processes.

Kente Weaving Workshop
Your half-day experience begins in Accra at 8:00 am, where our certified guide will pick you up at a location of your choice. Your Kente weaving workshop is about an hour drive from the city of Accra.
After a warm welcome from the weavers, meet your instructor and other staff. Begin your workshop with an introduction to the theory aspect of kente weaving. You will then have hands-on experience as a first time weaver under the guidance of your instructor. Your one-of-a-kind creation is yours to take home! There will be time to browse and purchase any professionally woven pieces, if you wish. Drop-off back in Accra at the location of your choice to conclude your tour.
